News from the Vine
It is certainly soup weather and here at The Vine we hand-make all our own from scratch with fresh ingredients. A bowl of soup served with bread roll and butter is £4.25; very popular as the season continues to chill! You will find a cosy place to warm up and to browse the shelves - including Christian gifts which are unavailable in the rest of town - we also sell book tokens and gift vouchers for The Vine itself. We have a wonderful new selection of ‘Take Note’ - our regular consignment of books for adults - with themes on Advent, Christmas, faith and reflection - please check out our Facebook page for details or drop in for a brochure; copies may also be available in your church as we are distributing them more widely.
If you, or someone you know, is able to help with kitchen duties (such as washing up and serving customers) on Mondays or Friday mornings please get in touch - we would make them very welcome and offer a warm atmosphere, free drink or meal depending on shift length and a first look at our lovely books, cards and gifts. Finally, please find details of an evening talk by a local author held at Trinity Community Church - copies of the book are now in stock.
Kind regards,
Grace

Gifted
“A Gifted Table” is an opportunity to sample what you could do to help your church grow.
By inviting a friend to a simple meal round a table and then to share thoughts and reflections about a poem or song, the aim is to listen to one another so that we might hear God’s voice in the conversation.
The six sessions are themed around advent and Christmas and are stand alone sessions, you can come to them all, or as many as you like.

A Message from All Saints Church
Christmas is fast approaching and I am pleased to say that we are once again organising carol singing for Cancer Research UK .We will follow our usual route around Sapcote and I have obtained a licence to do so from Blaby District Council . The date will be Monday 22nd December from 7pm to 9pm, meeting at All Saints Church around 6.45. I do hope as many of you will come along as possible to sing or collect. We always raise a substantial amount of money-usually between £200 and £300 in recent years- which is much appreciated by the charity, as is our singing by all those that hear us. Please invite others you know that like to sing or are happy to collect. I would be grateful if you could let me know if you would like to join us by emailing me at daverharrold@aol.com
Each year Sapcote Methodist Church organises a visit to this large inter-denominational Christian Conference.
Anyone is welcome to join! Spring Harvest aims to "equip the Church for action through a range of events, conferences, books and resources.
The tone is generally evangelical with modern worship muisc, workshops and Bible Study Groups".
We are holding a Holiday Club this year (2025). More details to follow soon.
