Mission Statement

A world transformed by God's love

A confident Church motivated to share God's love

A people celebrating being part of a worldwide family

We are called by Jesus to share the love of God with all who are around us.

Every Methodist is called to share in this mission, working together in cooperation, partnership and collaboration wherever they are.

In supporting social action (acts of charity) and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ - we are fulfilling God's mission that God will enable holiness, transforming lives, communities, nations and the world.

News from the Vine

The Vine is in particular need of volunteers. Owing to health conditions and household commitments, many of our wonderful helpers have had to leave us in recent months. Please join our prayers of thanksgiving for their contribution to The Vine as well as our best wishes for their health and future endeavours. Meanwhile we ask if you (or someone you know) has an hour or two to give - to assist with kitchen duties such as washing up, customer service and using a till - please get in touch at thevinehinckley@hotmail.co.uk or 01455 612345. In return a warm welcome, a drink or lunch on us (depending on shift length) is awaiting, as well as becoming part of this vital support to the Christian and wider community of Hinckley.

In other news we recently had our Food Hygiene inspection and were awarded the highest score of 5, with which we are so pleased. You may have also noticed some more small changes and imrpovements inside The Vine - drawing the eye toward our wonderful books in particular - we also have new stock such as beautiful 'Holy Socks', leather keyrings, ecouragement bookmarks and Faith Strings bracelets. Whether you are a regular or a newcomer, pop in and see what we have available, we will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Grace

Manager

Gifted

“A Gifted Table” is an opportunity to sample what you could do to help your church grow.

By inviting a friend to a simple meal round a table and then to share thoughts and reflections about a poem or song, the aim is to listen to one another so that we might hear God’s voice in the conversation.

The six sessions are themed around advent and Christmas and are stand alone sessions, you can come to them all, or as many as you like.

Sapcote Methodist Church

on the following dates at 7pm:

19th & 26th November, 3rd & 10th December, 7th & 14th January

Christmas Fair

We are holding our CHristmas Fair on the 15th of November and would very much appreciate any raffle prizes that anyone is able to donate.

Thank you!

Thank You Judy

After many, many, many years of hard work and dedication Judy Hall now feels the time is right to stop collecting our loose change for Action for Children due to the growing difficulties of banking the money.  We believe there were more than 30 boxes issued to family and friends which must have taken a lot of counting!

Everyone would like to say

 “Thank You Judy”

(The Church will continue to support Action for Children)

A Message from All Saints Church

Christmas  is fast approaching and  I am pleased to say that we are once again organising  carol singing for Cancer Research UK .We will follow our usual route around  Sapcote and  I have obtained a licence to do so from Blaby District Council . The date will be Monday 22nd December from 7pm to 9pm, meeting at All Saints Church around 6.45. I do hope as many of you will come along as possible to sing or collect. We always raise a substantial amount of money-usually between £200 and £300 in recent years- which is much appreciated by the charity, as is our singing by all those that hear us. Please invite others you know that like to sing or are happy to collect. I would be grateful if you could let me know if you would like to join us by emailing me at daverharrold@aol.com
