Toy Service: Please donate new unwrapped toys for our annual charity toy collection this Sunday.
Scratch Nativity: There will be a scratch nativity during the service so why not come dressed up as any of the characters in the Christmas story?
News from the Vine
News from The Vine - as we head into December we will be fully embracing Christmas with a tree, lights, carols and (once again) our festive specials as an addition to our usual menu! If you are not familiar with this the specials consist of an additional filling to either a toastie, cob or sandwich of turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, a mince pie served warm with cream and hot mulled (non-alcoholic) punch. These are sold separately or as a meal deal for the bargain price of £6.00! If you are planning to come and enjoy this deal in numbers over four then please give us a heads up so we can adequately cater (01455 612345).
We still have plenty of Christmas cards and gift ideas in stock so do keep us in mind when doing your Christmas shopping. We've recently had some lovely new items in our gift corner - stationery, jewellery, wall plaques, coasters, mugs and (for the first time) embroidery sets - so do drop in for a browse.
We are still in need of extra help at The Vine - we particularly need a volunteer to help cover Thursday lunchtimes. This doesn't necessarily need to involve food handling so long as you could use the till - please do get in touch if you would like to join our team. We are also still looking for the right person to be our new assistant manager - please make contact with us for more details. Jessica (manager).
Hinckley Area Foodbank
Hinckley Area Foodbank - thank you to everyone who donates food to foodbank. The following are current stocks we are less well-off for: Small tins of beans, meat, vegetables and fruit; biscuits, microwave rice; confectionery and shampoo.
Our Food Bank collection point is outside 18 Mill Close if anyone wishes to make a donation. Other donation points exist including The Vine Christian Book shop.
Café Worship
We begin our Christmas celebrations at Cafe Worship on Dec 4th at 7pm.
As usual it will be a Bring & Share Christmas meal followed by an evening when we share poems, carols, video clips or anything Christmassy??. I you could let me know your requests/contributions
by Dec 1st then I can prepare the PowerPoint.
Thank you

Carol Singing for Cancer Research
With All Saints Church
Christmas is fast approaching and Dave and Di Harrold from All Saints Church are once again organising Carol Singing for Cancer Research UK . We will sing around the village on Monday 23rd December from 7pm till 9pm, meeting at All Saints Church Hall at 6.45pm. It is always a very jolly occasion and we are made very welcome as we sing in the beautiful festively decorated streets of Sapcote. In recent years, we have collected between £200 and £300 for this very worthy cause. Please come and join us-either to sing or to collect. If you would like to participate or to know more, please contact Di on 07775766405 or assapcote2019@gmail.com.
URGENT PLEA- this year our two ace collectors are unable to join us!! If you would be happy to collect for us, at least for some of the time, please let us know.
Church Family Christmas Lunch
This will be held on Sunday 1st December and consist of a traditional two course Christmas dinner costing £8, payable on the day. If you would like to come please sign the form in the link stating any dietary requirements.
Circuit Diversity Banquet
The circuit will be holding a Diversity Banquet on 8th February 12-3 at Burbage, Tickets are £10 proceeds to MIND. Sapcote has been asked to provide a main course and an item to share (e.g. poem, drama, monologue, song) which illustrates diversity.
Each year Sapcote Methodist Church organises a visit to this large inter-denominational Christian Conference.
Anyone is welcome to join! Spring Harvest aims to "equip the Church for action through a range of events, conferences, books and resources.
The tone is generally evangelical with modern worship muisc, workshops and Bible Study Groups".
We hold an annual Summer holiday club for Primary School age children following the Scripture Union resources but often with our own Sapcote Methodist Church twist!
Lots of songs, crafts, messy crafts, games, sports, prayers and stories its a great experience! Check out our home page for further details of our next holiday club. (Details published in May)
