News from the Vine
We are going through a time of change here with a manager leaving, a new manager taking the role on and support staff joining the team so we ask for your prayers and support during this transitional time. I have been manager of The Vine for seven years and have seen a lot of change in that time (not least the pandemic!) but I feel that this is the right time to hand things over to a new pair of hands. I know you will show your support for Grace R and Grace P (!) as they begin their new roles. My final day at The Vine will be Tuesday 29th July and on that day, if you would like to say goodbye, there will be free cake for all customers so come in and buy a drink (or a book!) and enjoy some homemade cake on me! Before that happens we have three Saturdays where our opening hours will change slightly due to the school holidays - for the 12th, 19th and 26th July we'll open from 10am-3pm and hope that this makes it easier for people to get to us before closing (our slightly earlier usual opening hours are due to a dance school sharing our premises). We are constantly getting in new books, gifts and cards and are a great place to source for gifts for all occasions - we have the summer edition of Kids Corner newly arrived with some great books for prizes, gifts and to keep kids entertained over the holidays. We're also looking for new volunteers so if you could spare a few hours a week to help run our coffee shop we would love to hear from you (thevinehinckley@hotmail.co.uk). We hope to see you soon – Jessica.
News Sheet Notice
I will be unable to produce any further news sheets until November 2025. If anybody would like to take on this role in the interim (OR PERMANENTLY) please let me know. Les

Hope in the Summer
Hope in the summer 2025 Summer will soon be here. The long holidays, when hungry children are at home all day, can be difficult times for families struggling to afford food. With this in mind, we are now planning our support for local families in need with Hope in the Summer 2025. Thanks to amazing support from the Hinckley Area Food bank and other generous donations from Parish Councils and individuals, we aim to make a delivery of food, fresh fruit and Aldi Vouchers to nominated families at the start of July. The Food Bank will provide the food and have also given us a very generous donation of £1200 towards the cost of the vouchers. If you know of any families in need living in Sapcote or Sharnford, please nominate them using this link: https://forms.gle/omzQJjmTq5qZCUPR9 If you are not able to access it, please speak to Sheila Grice. The closing date for nominations is Friday June 6th. Please pray that we will be put in contact with all of the local families that will really benefit from this support.
We Are looking for volunteers to deliver food bags on July 4th between 4-5pm. Please see Sheila if you can help.
Data Protection and Personal Contact Information
The church keeps personal contact details for all members and friends. We need to keep this information up to date. Everyone has completed a “Data Collection Form”. The original forms were completed in 2021 with pastoral visitors. These forms contain your name and preferred method of contact such as address, phone number, e mail address.
If any of these contact details have changed since this form was completed or if you are unsure what is on the form, please speak to Christine Grantham and your form can be updated.
